China's largest EV maker has officially unveiled the Yangwang U8 Premium Edition in China, following a preview earlier this year. Marketed under BYD's high-end sub-brand Yangwang, the U8 is a $150,000 luxury off-road SUV that features a sophisticated four-motor series plug-in hybrid system delivering up to 1,180 horsepower

The U8 is a hard-core off-road SUV with an estimated length of more than 4,700mm, and the specific specifications are unknown. In addition, there are hidden door handles, full LED headlights, full-time four-wheel drive, non-load-bearing body and other technical blessings. Yangwang U8 is equipped with "Yi Sifang" four-motor technology, which can realize independent drive of four motors and independently control the torque and direction of the wheels. The maximum power of the vehicle exceeds 1100 horsepower, and the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h can reach 3 seconds.
