The main purpose of a skeleton semi-trailer is to transport containers, which can transport 20 foot, 40 foot, or 45 foot containers or other custom sized containers from customers. A 40 foot skeleton semi-trailer typically comes with 12 container locks and can transport two 20 foot containers or one 45 foot container. If the customer wants to transport a 45 foot container, we can also do it.
Our commonly used external dimensions for skeletons are 12.5 meters high, 2.5 meters wide, and 1.55 meters high. You can also tell us your size requirements, and we can customize them. The commonly used configurations for the main beam include a 14mm thick upper wing plate, a 16mm thick lower wing plate, an 8mm thick vertical plate, and a height of 500mm. The support legs can be divided into single action and linkage. Commonly used leg brands include FUWA and FOST.
