The Most Obvious Difference Between the #702 and #705 Regulator is That the #705 Has an F Terminal Instead of the I Terminal on the #702. However, it is Reported That the F and I Terminals Are Not Necessarily Used on All Applications, and the More Important Difference Between the Two Regulators is That the #705 is a PCM (Computer) Controlled Regulator, While the #702 is Not. This Makes the 2 Units NOT Interchangeable. The 8156-3 and the 8222-3 May Be Used on the Same Cars in the Same Model Years. If So, it is Important to Verify Which Unit is Required. In the Case of the Buick Century and Regal, the 8156-3 is Used on Cars With the K60 Accessory Package, and the 8222-3 is Used on Cars With the K68 Accessory Package. There Are 2 Main Ways to Tell Which Package the Car Has. One is to Get the VIN Number and Call the Dealer, and the Other is to Open the Trunk and Read the Alpha Numeric Code on the White Tag Located on the Inner Trunk Lid.
